Are you an enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service skills? Scania GB are recruiting for a new Parts Supervisor based at our Thirsk depot. As a Parts Supervisor you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the parts department whilst managing and developing the parts team in order to deliver excellent customer service to all parts customers.
Skill Set:
- Manage the operation of the parts department to ensure effective and efficient delivery of parts to the correct customer and workshop.
- Build and develop new and existing parts customers.
- Proactively embark on stock checks, working to reduce stock check line discrepancy.
- Deliver excellent customer service to all parts customers, both internally and externally.
- Good computer skills.
- Pre-empts and obtains information relating to the customers’ requirements.
- Correctly interprets a customer issue.
- Ensure sales targets are met or exceeded by monitoring their performance and proactively selling.
- Maximise sales potentials by up-to-date parts knowledge and effective selling techniques.
- Understand the workshop schedule and loading systems to manage workflow and the effect on service provided.

- Ability to build rapport and positive relationships – Working with the customer to build professional relationships to ensure all customer requirements are scheduled in a timely manner.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks at once – Manage tasks from the customer externally and internally within the workshop, ensuring all tasks are completed in the desired time frame.
- Forward thinker, using own initiative under pressure – Be able to overcome any obstacles that present themselves under pressure whilst ensuring the customer’s needs are still met.
