Salary: Starting from £33,363 per annum – £16.04 per hour
Start Date: 07/09/2026 (Non‑flexible due to booked training)

Program Overview
Scania GB offers a conversion programme for Light Vehicle, Plant or Agricultural Technicians to train as HGV Technicians. The course combines on‑site mentoring with bespoke training at the Scania UK Learning Academy. Trainees will partner with experienced Scania technicians, receive one‑on‑one mentorship, and complete six key modules covering industry and Scania product knowledge, maintenance and inspection theory.
Training includes hands‑on experience and the opportunity to earn an industry‑recognised IRTEC qualification and a Scania Roadside Assistance qualification.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Desire to utilise current experience and convert to the Heavy Vehicle industry
- Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent may be considered)
- Minimum 3 years hands‑on mechanical experience
Responsibilities
- Participate in on‑site mentoring and shadow experienced Scania technicians.
- Attend in‑house training sessions covering the six key modules.
- Acquire industry‑recognised qualifications (IRTEC and Scania Roadside Assistance).
- Apply transferable skills to the HGV environment and assist with maintenance and inspection tasks.
