An opportunity to play a pivotal role within the North region of Scania Great Britain. As Operational Excellence Manager you will form part of the Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for driving operational excellence within all areas of our retail business, including Sales, Service and Parts. You will deliver effective change through influence, guiding stakeholders throughout the region, as we embrace an ever changing business landscape.
As Operational Excellence Manager you will enjoy optimising resources, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance. You will be key to ensuring the consistent delivery of results aligned with Scania’s policies, processes, and standards.
Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team to achieve business objectives and deliver excellent results.
- Nurture a culture of operational excellence, resilience, and persistence within the team.
- Support the strategic requirements and performance of each branch.
- Collaborate with Solution Sales teams, Scania Sales & Services/Wholesale colleagues, Branch Managers, and Scania Finance to address joint issues and support strategic development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable processes, standards, and guidelines.
- Utilise management software systems such as CRM and quotation tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and solve problems through root cause analysis.
- Hold self and others accountable for achieving results and maintaining high standards.
- Communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully with all stakeholders, adapting communication style as needed.
- Provide service excellence to both internal and external customers.
- Plan, allocate, and mobilise resources to achieve organisational goals.
- Implement and uphold health and safety policies, ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment.
- Manage performance, identify underperformance, and inspire improvement.
- Leadership – someone who embodies the Scania Core Values in all of their work, providing direction and support to help the region reach its goals.
- Process improvement – experience overseeing, implementing and improving processes and ways of working, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.
