Programme Structure

The programme combines on‑site mentoring and bespoke training at our brand‑new Scania UK Learning Academy. You will be partnered with experienced Scania technicians, observe and shadow them, and attend training modules covering product knowledge, maintenance and inspection theory. You will gain an industry recognised IRTEC qualification and a Scania Roadside Assistance qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake on‑site mentorship and shadowing sessions with senior technicians.
  • Attend and complete training modules at the Scania UK Learning Academy.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to hands‑on maintenance, inspection and repair tasks.
  • Complete practical assessments and qualifications (IRTEC, roadside assistance) as part of the programme.

Qualifications

  • Desire to utilise current experience and convert into heavy vehicle industry.
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years hands‑on mechanical experience.
