About the Role

Are you a skilled Project Manager with a solid technical foundation in engineering? Do you thrive in fast-paced, complex environments? Do you enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to bring major infrastructure projects to life?

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle delivery of high-value engineering work packages. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of assigned contracts, guiding projects from early-stage design through to completion and commissioning. This role requires broad project oversight across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning — ensuring alignment with safety, quality, timeline, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver complex engineering packages on time, to scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with multiple functions and stakeholders to ensure consistency across engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Track progress, mitigate risks, and escalate issues where necessary to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate on the overall programme strategy, aligning with key planning documents and execution plans.
  • Manage project interfaces, documentation workflows, and site-readiness activities for commissioning.
  • Maintain focus on high-risk areas, technical dependencies, and quality assurance during late-stage project phases.
  • Proactively resolve scope and documentation conflicts between teams and suppliers.
  • Support delivery governance through accurate reporting on cost, schedule, risk, and performance metrics.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in project management within engineering, construction, or technical infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with major project delivery in regulated environments (e.g., energy, transportation, aerospace, or manufacturing).
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project control tools, including scheduling, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk analysis.
  • Good working knowledge of construction regulations and contract management frameworks (e.g., NEC or FIDIC).
  • A track record in managing commissioning, multi-disciplinary engineering packages, or integrated contractor delivery.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles and interface control processes.
  • Degree-level qualification in engineering or a related field, and ideally a recognised project management certification (e.g., APM, PMP, or Prince2).

Note: Nuclear experience is mandatory
