Are you a Quality Assurance Manager or would you like to become one!

What will your role be?

  • Responsible for performing all aspects of Quality Assurance at our client site, respecting their internal processes and procedures.
  • To ensure that the Business’ products and services are fit for purpose and meet customer expectations.
  • To understand the customers' requirements to enable Quality to represent “the voice of the customer” during internal discussions to maximise customer focus.
  • Develop credible relationships across the business to input into pragmatic solutions to eliminate/mitigate issues and/or risks. Knowing when it is appropriate to escalate topics.
  • Ensure the application of the Group Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Quality Assurance policies, and the Group Reference system.
  • Provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of “alerting and vetoing” process.
  • Promote Quality within the entity, ensuring that all managers and staff are made aware of the QMS and the specifics as relevant to the entity and their roles and responsibility in its operation.
  • Manage the generation of the defined documentation to support the task delivery and scheduled business/project reviews.
  • Analyse the customer’s quality requirements, define and set up the Quality plan(s) in the bid and/or project phase, and make sure that the plan contains all the measures necessary to fulfil the standards and reference system.
  • Approve or ensure the formal approval of the conformity of products and take responsibility for the follow-up of customer complaints.
  • Generate the defined documentation to support the task delivery and business reviews.
  • Systematically perform Quality audits and surveillance activities on assigned bids and projects in accordance with the Company Reference system and Contract and Regulatory requirements.
  • Provide independent authority during validation/verification activities.
  • Conduct investigations and analyse Quality data/metrics and initiate improvement as applicable.
  • Ensure that the Quality Management system is functioning properly.
  • Rigorously support the re-skilling of the business (existing and recruiting) based on skills & competencies analysis.
  • Interface with other Quality functions to ensure the implementation of best practice, thus meeting the requirements of the company.
  • Identify, develop and implement Continuous and business improvements opportunities that contribute to the Quality objectives and the business Ambition 10 performance plan.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Related Professional Qualification and Membership of Associations.
  • At least 5 years in a related Quality and/or Project/Operations environment with a reputation in change management.
  • Proven capability in auditing and process development.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Quality and Engineering Standards and Processes and be familiar with MoD contractual requirements for Quality Assurance.
