Enabling SMEs to Thrive and Scale with Exceptional Talent.
More than recruitment. Real relationships. Real impact. Real growth.
Location: Hybrid / Remote (Northern Ireland)
Company: ScaleX Talent Solutions (part of Simple Scaling)
If you believe recruitment is about people, purpose and partnership (not just filling roles or hitting KPIs)...
If you love understanding the why behind a business and matching it with the who that will help it grow...
If you care about making the right placement, not the fastest one...
You might have just found your home.
Who we are (and why we’re different):
- ScaleX Talent Solutions is the talent arm of Simple Scaling - the "mothership" behind an elite leadership programme for CEOs/MDs of scaling SMEs.
- A bestselling business book.
- Regular events with world-class speakers.
- A thriving community of 70+ ambitious growing companies (10–300 employees).
These aren’t random clients. These are leaders we know deeply - their vision, values, culture, personalities and ambitions. That is our unfair advantage. When we recruit, we don’t guess. Which means our work is deeper, more meaningful, and incredibly effective.
What you’ll actually do:
- You’ll work in two powerful ways:
- Traditional recruitment... but done properly. We go deep into the business. We shape the role. We source, shortlist, interview, advise, and sometimes even sit on the panel. It’s recruitment as partnership, not transaction.
- When a client needs to scale fast (e.g. +10 hires), we plug in as their internal Talent Partner. You become part of their team. You influence strategy, process, employer brand, org design and hiring delivery. It’s like being Head of Talent for one company - without leaving ours.
Why this role matters:
You won’t just "fill jobs." You’ll help founders and leadership teams design their future organisations. You’ll get involved in:
- Workforce planning (12–24 months ahead).
- Employer brand & storytelling.
- Interview design & assessment.
You’ll be a trusted partner, not a supplier. Because we’re part of Simple Scaling, you get a front-row seat to high-level business and leadership development.
You’ll:
- Attend leadership workshops.
- Learn from world-class speakers.
- Access the Simple Scaling framework.
- Develop mindset, influence and strategic thinking.
- Build relationships with CEOs and founders.
This role grows YOU as fast as you grow others.
What we value:
- Authenticity over ego.
- Relationships over transactions.
- Purpose over profit (profit follows purpose).
- Curiosity and learning.
- Doing the right thing, not the easy thing.
- Making a real difference in people’s lives.
Let’s talk about the reality (the 20 / 60 / 20 rule):
- 20% of the time - you’re flying. Clients are thrilled. Candidates accept. The impact is huge. You feel unstoppable.
- 20% of the time - recruitment is hard. No-shows. Counteroffers. Delays. Things go sideways. You’ll need resilience, problem solving, and the ability to say: "This will pass."
- 60% of the time - it’s your mindset that makes the difference. This is the space where you choose: Empowered or discouraged? Abundance ("great companies, amazing candidates, endless opportunity")...or scarcity ("nothing’s working, no one’s hiring")?
At ScaleX, we choose empowerment, ownership, growth and possibility. We support each other. We learn. We find a way. And that’s what sets us apart.
You’ll thrive here if you:
- Love working closely with business leaders.
- Are curious about people and culture.
- Can think strategically AND execute brilliantly.
- Have the self-drive to make things happen.
- Can handle setbacks and bounce back stronger.
- Want variety (multiple clients, different sectors).
- Value quality and long-term partnership.
- Are emotionally intelligent and human-first.
- Care about impact, not just numbers.
- Choose to approach challenges with an empowered mindset.
Experience that helps:
- Talent Acquisition or Recruitment (agency or in-house).
- Strong sourcing & stakeholder management.
- Comfortable running end-to-end processes.
- Able to shape roles, not just fill them.
- Exposure to scaling businesses or SMEs is a bonus.
Why people love working with us:
Because here, you get to do recruitment the way you always wished it could be done:
- With trust.
- With depth.
- With purpose.
- With partnership.
- With ownership.
- With impact.
- With heart.
- And yes... we have fun along the way.
