ScaleX Talent Solutions is working in partnership with an exceptional, well-established joinery and fit-out specialist to appoint a Project Manager for their newly formed Specialist Fire Doors Division. This is a rare opportunity to step into a key, career-defining role within a growing division of a business renowned for quality, technical excellence, and high-end delivery across the UK and Ireland.
The Opportunity
Our client is launching a dedicated Specialist Fire Doors Division, focused on the design, manufacture, certification, and installation of fire-rated joinery and doorsets for complex, compliance-driven environments. As Project Manager, you'll take end-to-end ownership of projects — from early design coordination through manufacture, certification compliance, site installation, and final handover.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing fire door projects from design through to completion
- Ensuring full compliance with certification and fire performance standards
- Coordinating design, manufacturing, and installation teams
- Overseeing site installations and subcontractors
- Acting as the main client point of contact
- Managing budgets, programmes, variations, and quality
- Maintaining meticulous documentation, traceability, and records
- Upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and workmanship
What We're Looking For
Essential- Proven project management experience within fire doors, joinery fit-out, or specialist carpentry
- Strong technical understanding of fire-rated doorsets and compliance
- Experience managing design, manufacture, and site installation
- Confident communicator with strong leadership skills
- Commercially astute and highly organised
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
- Experience with BM TRADA, IFC, or Warringtonfire
- Knowledge of BS 476 / EN 1634 testing standards
- Proficiency with MS Project or similar tools
- Construction, engineering, or related qualification
