We’re partnering with a growing Building Remediation Specialist to recruit an Estimator into their commercial team. You’ll work directly alongside the Head of Estimating on live, technically interesting tenders, gaining exposure to the full bid lifecycle and developing your career in a supportive, team-led environment.
This is a great move for someone with 3+ years’ estimating or QS experience who wants more ownership, more learning, and a clearer progression path - without being lost in a large corporate structure.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting live tenders from enquiry through to submission
- Working closely with the Head of Estimating on pricing strategy and bid development
- Building up labour, material, plant, and equipment pricing
- Sourcing and negotiating competitive supply-chain quotations
- Interpreting drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements
- Identifying key cost drivers, risks, and programme constraints
- Preparing priced schedules of works and contract sum analyses
- Raising and managing tender clarifications
- Supporting smooth handovers to the Project QS team on successful awards
You’ll be trusted to manage multiple tenders at once, with the backing of an experienced team and clear processes around you.
What we’re looking for
- Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Estimator or QS role
- Working knowledge of JCT 2016 Design & Build contracts
- Experience supporting tender submissions in a construction environment
- Understanding of UK & Ireland building control regulations
- Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail
- Experience with façade systems or specialist construction packages is a plus — but not essential
