Our client - a pioneering engineering and technology company - is expanding its Mechanical Systems team and now seeks a Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, and development of next-generation marine systems and components.

What you’ll be doing
- Deliver structural engineering for advanced marine systems and components
- Perform FEA, hand calculations and design validation
- Develop lightweight, production-ready 3D designs using CATIA V6 / 3DX
- Support manufacturing with cost-effective and high-quality build methods
- Collaborate with Mechanical Systems, Naval Architecture, and Structural teams
- Produce technical documentation for design reviews, testing and certification
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (Aerospace, Automotive etc.)
- 3+ years’ experience in marine, motorsport, aerospace, or high-performance engineering
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics & first-principles problem solving
- FEA experience with ability to interpret results effectively
- Proficiency in CAD (CATIA V6/3DX preferred)
- Experience designing for manufacture and material selection
Desirable
- Exposure to maritime structures
- Experience across composites, metals, or mixed-material construction
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
