Electrical Design Engineer

We’re recruiting on behalf leading engineering companies that designs, manufactures, and commissions electrical control systems worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Design Engineers to join and work on projects spanning sectors such as recycling, food, renewables, quarrying, and water treatment. We are currently recruiting for roles based in County Tyrone and County Armagh Northern Ireland.

What You’ll Do

• Design electrical control systems, producing schematics, block cable diagrams and BOMs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Work independently and as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
• Support other departments including production, installation, sales, and technical support.

What We’re Looking For

• HNC (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years’ experience in design or project management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid IT skills with a proactive, positive attitude.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and Variable Speed Drives.

Desirable skills:

• Experience with EPLAN software.
• PLC/HMI development (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi).
• 2–3 years project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards.
