Our Finance Assistants enable the data that founders rely on for critical decisions, working alongside experienced Finance Business Partners and CFO Partners in a collaborative environment.

The Job

As a Finance Assistant, you'll become the operational finance expert that Europe's most promising startups depend on.

You'll work with a portfolio of clients - from AI innovators scaling internationally to sustainable fashion brands preparing for a Series A journey - enabling their most critical financial decisions.

Your days will be focused on enabling our customers to make meaningful decisions.

You might start by completing a month end process for a fintech startup going through their first board reporting cycle, then collaborate with Finance Business Partners on the optimal payments structure for a Retail Tech company.

You'll set up robust automated technology stacks for our customers and enable their smooth operation with a detailed eye on the financial data.

What you'll be doing

  • Improving financial controls including; Decision support, risk management and analysis
  • Define and implement internal processes and activities that ensure the best possible delivery
  • Internal stakeholder management: Supporting the Finance Business Partners and CFO partners with robust management reporting.
  • External stakeholder management - including client calls and resolving queries independently from CFO partners.
  • Identifying new financial and accounting tools that can automate processes for our customers.

What we're looking for

  • 2 + Years of Mid level Finance assistant - owning the month end process including posting prepayment/ Accruals journals, deferred revenue & client queries
  • 2+ years of working with Xero or similar system
  • Excellent communication skills: including managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous external stakeholder management preferred
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and work independently
  • UK Payroll experience preferred but not essential
