Senior Frontend Engineer (City of London)

Scalers HQ are working in partnership with a growing FinTech partner in the UK and we are are looking for a Senior Frontend React Engineer to join them on a contractual basis.

The role:

You’ll be working closely with product managers, designers and engineers across teams to create a world-class user experience for our customers.

You'll be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of our partners checkout user interface and user experience (UI/UX).

Responsibilities

• Work on critical frontend applications used by a global network of sellers
• Develop greenfield products and enhance our existing front-end architecture
• Collaborate closely and pair with product designers
• Provide engineering advice for team issues, and be involved in wider technical decisions that positively impact the department and company
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API specifications and integration
• Improve the seller & customer experience in gradual, frequent iterations

Experience required

• Have strong technical skills with: React, TypeScript, CSS, React Testing
• Library/Vitest, Playwright.
• Implemented performant, responsive front-end applications in agile Product teams.
• Have substantial experience working closely with product designers during discovery and implementation phases of projects.
• Have a strong understanding of the development process from design through to

deployment and maintenance and what that means for day-to-day development.

• Have worked with AWS & Terraform or other cloud services & infrastructure-as-code
