The Role
They’re looking for a Consultant Ecologist (or more senior) to join the team. This role offers the chance to:
- Lead and contribute to a variety of ecological projects
- Support and mentor more junior team members
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Play a key role in delivering high-quality consultancy work
A bat licence would be highly beneficial for this position.
What They’re Looking For
Essential:
- Degree in Ecology or a related field
- ~3+ years’ experience in ecological consultancy
- Experience with project delivery and some level of team or line management
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation and policy
- Good report writing skills and experience reviewing technical reports
- Experience with Ecological Impact Assessments
- GIS and database management experience
- Ability to build and manage client relationships
- Full, clean driving licence
- Membership with CIEEM (or working towards appropriate level)
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject
- Protected species licences (e.g. bats, GCN)
- Specialism in areas such as ornithology or bats
- Experience as an EPS licence holder
- Interest or experience in habitat creation and biodiversity enhancement
