Are you an interior designer with a great design flare and stands strong on pushing the design boundaries? If so, a critically acclaimed interior design studio is looking for a mid-weight interior designer with a strong eye for detail to join their ranks to work on luxury hospitality projects. You will be working on all design processes along with the senior team focusing on developing concept designs in to technical deliverability for high profile projects. You will also be working in thoughtfully designed offices with a studio that puts an emphasis on cultivating design excellence, offers flexible working and little to no over time, and a social and collaborative team as standard.
Job responsibilities
- Understand and implement the client\’s brief and senior staff\’s vision into the concept design, ensuring alignment with studio\’s stylistic standards.
- Support the development of plans and elevations, collaborate with the Senior Designer and Design Team Manager, and establish project materiality by suggesting appropriate materials and finishes.
- Understand project timelines and deliverables, support site visits and meetings with contractors and clients, and represent the studio in all project-related interactions.
- Aid in developing and presenting concept designs, produce drawings to the highest quality standards from concept through completion.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and supporting the overall wellbeing and productivity of the team.
- Follow the project Health and Safety procedures and ensure the correct documentation is complete
Key skills
- Demonstrable experience working at technical stage on high end hospitality projects
- Comprehensive understanding of UK industry regulations, materials, detailing, furniture and construction.
- AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop and free-hand sketching abilities appreciated
- Strong design skills with an eye for colour, materials, and current style trends.
