A long-established, multidisciplinary studio based in SW London is seeking an ambitious Project Manager to join their dynamic team on an initial contract basis. The studio is award-winning, people centred, and is currently engaged in complex, landmark UK and international projects. You will be working with the Operations Director and within a team of PMs to manage project work plans, budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines and financial parameters. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare briefing documents, compile project work plans, budgets, and organize necessary documentation.
- Lead the adoption of new systems and utilize expertise in industry best practices to enhance studio efficiency.
- Demonstrate adaptability and promote a flexible approach to work, encouraging team members to embrace change and innovation.
- Monitor the contractual framework by defining scope and deliverables, reviewing terms, and guiding the team to ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Assist in developing strategic program timelines tailored to each project stage, proactively monitoring deadlines and deliverables in collaboration with the Design Manager.
- Strategically determine suitable contractual terms for each project and lead negotiations as the main point of contact with clients.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to review monthly budgets, making informed decisions regarding actual versus forecasted spending and strategically managing project finances.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in using Deltek.
- Able to independently draft scope documents, including bids/tenders, risk assessments, and scope analysis.
- Agile in decision-making, capable of assessing situations and strategizing promptly.
- Skilled in negotiating contracts both locally and globally.
- Preferably holds a bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
