Infrastructure Software Engineer, Apps Platform, LondonAs an Infrastructure Engineer on the Apps Platform Infrastructure team, you'll help build and evolve our platform’s deployment and observability layers across multiple cloud providers and on-premises, for both internal and customer-managed environments. This is a role for someone who cares about building cloud-agnostic infrastructure and deployment pipelines.You'll partner closely with internal teams to understand how they use and deploy the platform, debug their issues, and shape a roadmap that balances immediate needs with long-term architecture.You will:Expand the deployment footprint of our platform to cover both on-premise, all major cloud platforms and beyondEnsure fast, secure, and reproducible deployments across all supported CSPs and on-prem Expand the observability of the platform so that forward deployed infrastructure teams can easily and efficiently operate customer deploymentsPartner closely with internal teams deploying the platform to understand their needs, debug issues, and build tooling that serves their use casesRespond to incidents and production issues with urgency, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive fixesHelp develop and maintain a product roadmap for deployment and observabilityLead architecture reviews and own projects end-to-end, from design through deployment, in fast-paced cross-functional settingsIdeally you'd have:5+ years of experience building and deploying enterprise and public sector solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI and on-premisesDeep expertise in infrastructure design, networking engineering, VPNs, load balancers, and firewallsDeep proficiency with IaC, containerisation and orchestration tools and technologies (Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker)Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery principles using GitHub Actions or CircleCI.Experience with GitOps-style deployments and a track record of ensuring consistent, repeatable deploymentsStrong debugging skills and the ability to navigate performance/security tradeoffs in production systemsComfort with ambiguity, and the ability to context-switch between reactive incident work and proactive product developmentNice to haves:Experience as a founder or early engineer at an infrastructure-focused startup, owning a product end-to-endExperience running secure workloads in multi-tenant or untrusted environments (e.g., FaaS, CI sandboxes, remote notebooks)Open-source contributions to systems or developer-tools projectsHistory of on-call/incident response for production systemsPLEASE NOTE: Our policy requires a 90-day waiting period before reconsidering candidates for the same role.
