Role Summary: Scalata seeks a highly accomplished and results-oriented Head of Sales to spearhead our sales initiatives targeting Banks and Institutional Investors. This is a critical leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, building and nurturing high-level relationships within target client organizations, and driving significant revenue growth through the adoption of Scalata's cutting-edge generative AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop, implement, and refine sales strategies focused on acquiring and expanding relationships with banks and institutional investors.
  • Revenue Generation & Pipeline Management: Take ownership of the sales targets for the banking and institutional investor segment. Build, manage, and forecast a robust sales pipeline, consistently meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior executives (including C-suite) within client organizations.
  • Market Analysis & Solution Development: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, regulatory shifts, and client needs within the banking and institutional investment space.
  • Value Proposition Articulation: Clearly articulate Scalata's unique value proposition, focusing on the benefits of our generative AI platform for automating the credit lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, including Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
  • Thought Leadership: Establish and drive thought leadership for Scalata within the financial services AI domain.
  • Team Building (Future): As the company grows, potentially build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team focused on the financial sector.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10-15+ years of experience in enterprise sales roles within the financial services industry.
  • Track Record: Proven and demonstrable track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the banking and institutional investment sectors.
  • Technology Acumen: Strong knowledge of and passion for technology, specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sophisticated sales strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional executive presence and relationship-building skills.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and potentially ambiguous start-up or high-growth technology environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the credit lifecycle and associated data challenges within financial institutions.
  • Established network of contacts within banks and institutional investors in the NYC area and beyond.
