About the Role
As a Specialist Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals social, emotional and physical wellbeing. Working within SCA Cares values-led framework, you will promote independence, dignity and inclusion within the local community.
This is a flexible position offering long day shifts that may include weekdays and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
No two days are the same. Your duties may include:
- Supporting daily living tasks, including personal care, cooking, cleaning and domestic duties
- Supporting individuals to attend appointments, social activities and community outings
- Encouraging independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Supporting individuals to pursue personal interests and hobbies (such as cooking, arts and crafts, gaming, music or dancing)
- Promoting positive behaviour and using de-escalation techniques when required
- Supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex physical needs
- Working confidently in environments where pets (such as dogs) may be present

About You
