Hours: 8.5 hours per week (Fridays, includes 30-minute paid break)
Salary: £5,396.82 per annum
Working Pattern:
- Driving: 08:30 - 11:00 and 14:30 - 17:00
- Community Enabler: 11:00 - 14:30
Join SCA Care and make a real difference in your community. This rewarding dual role combines safe transport with hands-on care and support, helping people attend day services, take part in activities and maintain their independence.
You will safely transport individuals to and from the service (with a Transport Escort present) and support them during sessions by providing person-centred care, assisting with daily living needs where required, encouraging participation in activities and promoting wellbeing, dignity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport individuals safely to and from the service.
- Provide person-centred support in line with care plans.
- Assist with mobility, personal care and mealtime support where needed.
- Support participation in meaningful activities and promote independence.
- Monitor wellbeing and maintain accurate records.
- Work as part of a supportive team to ensure a safe environment.
About You:
- Full D1 or PCV driving licence.
- Caring, reliable and patient approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to provide hands-on support in a care setting.
- Experience in health or social care is helpful but not essential; we provide training.
