We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive People and Culture Recruitment Officer to help us attract, recruit and onboard talented individuals who share our values and commitment to excellent care.

About the Role

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process across a variety of services, ensuring a positive candidate experience while maintaining compliance with safer recruitment practices. You will work closely with managers across the organisation to identify staffing needs, develop effective recruitment campaigns, and build talent pipelines that support SCiA's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy approval through to onboarding.
  • Advertise vacancies across multiple platforms and social media channels.
  • Screen applications and conduct telephone interviews.
  • Coordinate interviews and provide support to hiring managers.
  • Ensure compliance with safer recruitment requirements, including DBS checks, right-to-work verification, references and employment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records within recruitment and HR systems.
  • Produce recruitment reports and analyse recruitment metrics.
  • Develop talent pools and build relationships with local communities, colleges, universities and employment organisations.
  • Attend recruitment events, job fairs and community engagement initiatives.
  • Support employer branding activities and promote SCiA as an employer of choice.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the People & Culture team.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about people and candidate experience.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
  • A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR administration or a related field.
  • Knowledgeable about recruitment best practice and safer recruitment requirements.
  • Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, HR databases and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and solutions focused.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in recruitment, HR or talent acquisition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Experience managing confidential information appropriately.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • Recruitment experience within health and social care.
  • Knowledge of DBS and safeguarding requirements.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards one.
  • Experience of recruitment marketing and social media campaigns.
