Social Care in Action (SCA Care) is a trusted, not-for-profit care provider supporting people to live independently and safely within our Extra Care Schemes. We are currently recruiting Support Workers / Care Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team at Wooldridge View in New Milton.
Whether you have experience in care or are looking to start a rewarding career in health and social care, we would love to hear from you. Full training is provided, and guaranteed hours are available.
Shift Patterns Available
- Morning shifts: 7:00am 2:00pm
- Evening shifts: 4:00pm 9:00pm
- Long day shifts (with a one-hour break)
- Waking night shifts: 9:00pm 7:00am
- Rota-based work with alternate weekend availability required
About the Role Support Worker / Care Assistant
As a Support Worker within our Extra Care Scheme, you will provide person-centred care and support to individuals living in their own self-contained apartments. Your role will help people maintain independence, dignity and choice, while promoting wellbeing and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals with daily living activities while encouraging independence
- Providing personal care in a respectful and dignified manner (where required)
- Supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping
- Encouraging social inclusion, community participation and wellbeing activities
- Building positive relationships through companionship and meaningful conversation
- Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, GPs, Adult Services and the CQC
