This full-time, on-site role is based in Denby Dale and focuses on designing and delivering accessible environments for people with disabilities. The role involves producing accurate drawings and technical details, preparing planning and building control submissions, and developing bespoke architectural solutions from concept to construction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with clients, case managers, OTs, and other professionals
  • Attending site visits and surveys
  • Supporting contract administration and project delivery
  • Liaising with contractors and consultants
  • Monitoring progress against budgets and timelines
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations, accessibility standards, and sustainability objectives
  • Contributing to internal design reviews
  • Maintaining clear project documentation
  • Supporting continuous improvement of design and technical standards

Qualifications:

  • Strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience translating client needs into accessible, functional, and compliant spaces
  • Experience in Architectural Project Management, including coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines and budgets, and supporting contract administration
  • Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and strong technical drawing and detailing skills
  • Understanding of UK building regulations, planning processes, accessibility standards, and best practice in inclusive and sustainable design
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with disabled clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Relevant architectural or architectural technology qualification; working toward or holding professional accreditation (e.g., RIBA/Ciat or equivalent) is advantageous
  • Previous experience in residential, healthcare, or adaptation projects is highly beneficial
