SC Plumbers is based on the south coast, serving Hampshire in the supply and maintenance of boilers, heating systems, bathrooms and other home improvement services. Due to continued growth, we are looking to strengthen the team with the addition of another Gas Engineer working for us directly.
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing gas appliances and piping systems, within mainly residential properties. We are looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to come on board and become an integral part of our team. You will install and repair gas pipework, be responsible for the safety of both workers and customers, and will also be expected to conduct property inspections. The ideal candidate for this position has experience in the construction industry and is familiar with maintenance of gas appliances and piping systems. A knowledge of basic plumbing skills is desirable but not essential. You should be comfortable working in customer properties.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on gas installations and appliances.
- Install and maintain gas equipment for customers.
- Respond to gas leaks.
- Use a computer system to record meter readings, charges, and other information.
- Boiler installations and conversions.
The essential skills for the role include:
- ACS accreditation (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, G3 as a minimum).
- Ensuring all work complies with current industry regulations.
- Completing relevant paperwork and digital records accurately.
- Full clean UK driving License.
- Hard working.
- Reliable.
- Team worker but can also work independently.
- Supporting the wider team when required.
- Excellent communication skills.
