Facilities Manager in Little Eaton

Overview

This role is responsible for leading all aspects of Facilities Management across our Denby and Little Eaton sites.

It involves overseeing the maintenance, performance, and continuous improvement of our facilities while ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.

The position owns the facilities budget and capital investment programme, driving strategic initiatives that enhance operational reliability, workplace standards, and facility services.

A key focus is supporting the site’s sustainability agenda and contributing to our journey towards net‑zero carbon emissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of a facilities maintenance strategy for the Denby and Little Eaton sites, covering planned, predictive and reactive maintenance.
• Implement and continually improve the SAP maintenance management system for facilities, develop ongoing facility upgrade and investment plans, and apply industry‑standard best practices.
• Develop budgets and manage P&L for all facility maintenance spend, providing clear monitoring and reporting to stakeholders (including MRO spend, building repairs and site utilities).
• Manage contractor performance through effective monitoring systems.
• Support the execution of the SCJ standards of safety program in collaboration with the SHE Manager, Manufacturing Manager and Senior Project Engineer, ensuring full compliance with SCJ, local and national regulatory standards.
• Establish and implement a code of conduct and clear processes for contractor management, ensuring third‑party contractors meet SCJ safety standards and UK & European SHE regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver the capital plan, leading the development of MEA’s and the delivery of facility‑related capital projects.
• Support energy‑reduction programmes to meet site environmental and sustainability objectives and maintain ISO50001 certification.
• Weekend work may be required from time to time to support operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management within a related industry.
• Demonstrable knowledge of UK regulations for fire safety, legionella control, electrical safety, gas safety and air‑handling systems.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (desirable).
