Contract: 6‑Month Fixed Term (potential to become permanent). Location: Denby Derbyshire / Little Eaton. Function: Global SHE Internal.
About the Role
We are looking for a SHE Advisor to support the deployment of SC Johnson’s Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) management practices at site level. This role ensures compliance with local legal requirements and SC Johnson global standards, and fosters a strong, proactive safety culture across the site.
Responsibilities
- Maintain SHE compliance assurance processes (self‑assessments, compliance calendars) to ensure adherence to legal, permit, and company requirements.
- Support managers and supervisors with effective shop‑floor implementation of safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Facilitate and support employee‑led SHE initiatives and teams, promoting a strong safety and sustainability culture.
- Analyse SHE audit data (including GEMBA and behavioural observations) to proactively identify risks and prevent incidents.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of corrective and preventative actions.
- Provide technical expertise, including risk assessments and industrial hygiene support, to maintain compliance.
- Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed effectively.
- Support SHE training processes to ensure required training is defined, delivered, and tracked to completion.
Experience You’ll Bring
- NEBOSH Certificate Level 3 (minimum).
- Thorough knowledge of UK HSE regulations and other relevant safety and environmental standards, including COSHH, Machinery, Fire, Work at Height, etc.
