Our client is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of high-quality stainless steel products for cleanroom and controlled environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop stainless steel fabricated products and assemblies
- Produce 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications (Inventor preferred)
- Ensure designs are suitable for manufacture, assembly, and cost efficiency
- Provide technical leadership on materials, sheet metal design, tolerancing, and surface finishes
- Support and mentor junior engineers
- Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and project teams
- Manage multiple design tasks and support prototype builds and issue resolution
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within stainless steel fabrication
- Strong CAD skills using Inventor or similar
- Solid knowledge of sheet metal design, welding, GD&T, and materials
- Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Desirable
- Experience in cleanroom, pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or high-purity environments
- Exposure to project-based engineering or project management
