We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
This is a permanent, workshop-based position offering long-term stability, a competitive hourly rate and regular overtime opportunities.
The Role
- TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel
- Fabricating components and assemblies from engineering drawings
- Working with stainless steel from approximately 1mm–12mm thickness
- Pipework and purge welding
- Cutting, forming, grinding and finishing components
- Operating fabrication and sheet metal machinery
- Working accurately to tolerances and specifications
- Carrying out quality checks on completed work
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety
The Candidate
- Previous experience as a Welder / Fabricator
- Strong TIG welding experience
- Stainless steel fabrication experience
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Experience using fabrication and workshop machinery
- Good attention to detail and quality
- City & Guilds, NVQ or apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication would be advantageous
Package
- Up to £20.00 per hour depending on experience
- Permanent position
- 39-hour working week
- Monday to Friday
