Job Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer\\nSalary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum\\nLocation: Luton, UK\\n\\nAs a Quality Assurance Engineer for my client based in Luton, you will play a key role in ensuring that our final products adhere to the company's high-quality standards. As a detail-oriented professional, you will be responsible for developing and implementing inspection activities, identifying and resolving problems, and ensuring that quality outcomes are met consistently.\\n\\nWhat you will do:\\n\\n * Review enquiry documents and prepare summary QA/QC documentation for quotation submissions.\\n\\n * Check and amend purchase texts to align with requirements.\\n\\n * Prepare and maintain product specifications and process procedures, including monitoring approval records (Agility System).\\n\\n * Control contract quality plans and monitor live QP’s for daily status updates.\\n\\n * Manage CAPAs (Corrective and Preventative Actions) and ECRs (Engineering Change Requests).\\n\\n * Perform certificate checks and sign-off against relevant standards and HT PO text.\\n\\n * Control subcontract deliveries, monitoring progress, compliance, and due dates.\\n\\n * Maintain and control weld and welder qualifications as appropriate.\\n\\n * Ensure changes in specifications are reflected in accordance with the Engineering Manager’s requirements.\\n\\n * Monitor and incorporate updates to QA compliance in accordance with relevant design codes (ASME, API, etc.).\\n\\n * Provide quality support across departments such as Sales, Operations, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test.\\n\\n * Participate in or lead quality improvement projects.\\n\\n * Participate in supplier and internal/external QA audit activities.\\n\\n * Verify material certification against material standards.\\n\\n * Approve suppliers' ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) and procedures.\\n\\n * Review, amend, and create HT procedures as required.\\n\\nWhat you will need:\\n\\n * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance Engineer role.\\n\\n * Strong experience within Heavy Engineering and Pressure Vessel knowledge.\\n\\n * Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings.\\n\\n * Solid experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.\\n\\n * UK Passport holder (dual nationality permitted, but the first nationality must be British).\\n\\n * Knowledge of PCN/SNT (non-destructive testing standards).\\n\\n * Ability to produce ITPs, quality plans, and procedures.\\n\\n * Full, clean UK driving licence
