Quoter / Estimator Join the growing team at SC Engineering SC Engineering is a growing, forward-thinking engineering and sheet-metal fabrication business based in Lisburn.

With a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility, modern machinery and significant investment in automation and production capacity, we are continuing to grow and strengthen our team.

We are looking for an experienced Quoter / Estimator to join our office team and play an important role in supporting that growth.

The Role You will be responsible for reviewing customer enquiries and drawings, developing accurate costs and preparing competitive quotations.

You will work closely with our engineering, production and purchasing teams to ensure quotations are both commercially competitive and achievable within our manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Review customer drawings, specifications and enquiry packs.

Prepare accurate estimates for materials, labour, machine time and subcontract processes.

Produce professional and competitive quotations within agreed timescales.

Liaise with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements and obtain pricing.

Work closely with Engineering, Production and Purchasing to ensure costs and lead times are realistic.

Identify potential manufacturing issues or cost-saving opportunities at quotation stage.

Maintain accurate quotation records and follow up on outstanding enquiries.

Help develop and improve our quoting and estimating processes.

Support the wider commercial team as the business continues to grow.

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have previous experience in estimating or quoting within an engineering, fabrication or manufacturing environment.

Experience or knowledge of: Sheet-metal fabrication Laser cutting CNC folding / press brakes Welding and fabrication Machining Material costing Engineering drawings and specifications would be highly beneficial.

We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, organised, confident with numbers and has excellent attention to detail.

You should be comfortable working to deadlines and communicating with both customers and internal teams.
