We are currently recruiting for an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join a leading engineering and industrial services business based in Grimsby. This is a predominantly site-based position, supporting the maintenance, calibration, installation and commissioning of instrumentation systems. Whilst the role is primarily based in Grimsby, there will be occasional travel to customer and project sites as required.
The Role
As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of instrumentation and control equipment across a variety of industrial applications. Key responsibilities include:
- Calibration, testing and maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
- Installation and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.
- Fault finding and diagnostics on instrumentation and control systems.
- Preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs and schematics.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant health, safety and quality standards.
- Producing accurate maintenance and service documentation.
- Supporting projects and attending customer sites when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Instrumentation Technician, Instrument Technician or similar.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems including pressure, flow, temperature and level measurement devices.
- Experience carrying out calibration, maintenance and fault-finding activities.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeship preferred.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer and project sites.
