An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering business specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke automation and special purpose machinery. Working as part of the Automation Department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electrical designs and documentation for complex control systems, collaborating closely with Automation Engineers and project teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on technically challenging projects within a supportive and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce electrical schematics from concept through to completion using EPLAN P8.
- Create electrical panel layouts using EPLAN Pro Panel 3D.
- Develop complete electrical design packages, including:
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Component lists
- Cable schedules
- Terminal layouts
- Supporting electrical documentation
- Work closely with Automation Engineers to develop robust control system designs.
- Ensure electrical drawings are maintained and updated throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Maintain drawing standards and support continuous improvement.
