Are you an experienced Engineering Buyer looking to join a well-established manufacturing business where you can make a real impact? This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the procurement of technical components and materials, working closely with engineering and production teams to support the delivery of high-quality manufacturing projects. This is a fully office-based position offering long-term stability, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative engineering environment.
The Role:
- Source and purchase engineered components, raw materials, tooling and technical services.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and Bills of Materials to ensure accurate procurement.
- Obtain and negotiate supplier quotations to achieve the best value, quality and delivery.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to meet project requirements.
- Liaise with group companies to secure volume pricing and maximise purchasing efficiencies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data including pricing, lead times and supplier performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier development and alternative sourcing.
- Resolve supply chain issues including delivery delays.
