We are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Siemens NX experience for a 12-month onsite contract in Derby. This is a hands-on role working in a high-integrity engineering environment, producing robust mechanical designs and supporting delivery across the design lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design using Siemens NX
- Produce 3D models, assemblies and detailed component designs
- Support concept through to detail design and release
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input
- Ensure designs meet functional requirements and are suitable for manufacture
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and manage changes
- Maintain documentation and configuration control in line with internal processes
Required Skills / Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Strong Siemens NX capability (modelling and assemblies essential)
- Good knowledge of GD&T and design for manufacture principles
- Able to work onsite in Derby for the duration of the contract
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines

- Β£40β46 per hour (dependent on experience)
