We are looking for a Project Planner to support the project management team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date project plans across a portfolio of engineering projects. This role will involve coordinating with project teams to ensure project schedules, resources, and reporting remain aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project plans across multiple projects
- Conduct regular reviews with operations and project management teams
- Create draft project plans at project kick-off
- Maintain project templates and resource profiles
- Analyse data from previous projects to improve future project planning
- Produce project reports and KPIs at project and programme level
- Maintain the configuration and data integrity of the project planning system
- Support improvements and migration of project planning systems
Requirements
- Advanced user of MS Project, Project Online or Project Server
- Proven experience creating and maintaining project plans
- Experience working in a multi-project environment
- Engineering qualification or engineering background
- Understanding of project management systems and how they integrate with business software (e.g. ERP systems)
Desirable
- Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Exposure to complex or long-duration projects
- Understanding of critical chain project management
