Project Manager – Engineering / Manufacturing Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: £45,000 – £70,000 per annum (DOE)

The Opportunity SC Engineering Group is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established engineering business specialising in the design and manufacture of industrial machinery and equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a background in engineering, manufacturing, special purpose machinery or capital equipment to take ownership of technically challenging projects from initial order through to final customer handover.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Manage engineering projects from initial order through design, procurement, manufacture, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and resource requirements.
Take full responsibility for project delivery, ensuring agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing regular project updates and managing expectations.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, manufacturing and installation.
Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, margins and commercial performance.
Identify and manage project risks, technical challenges and changes to scope.
Oversee project documentation, reporting and progress reviews.
Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and final customer handover.
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety, quality and contractual requirements.
Support continuous improvement of project management processes and procedures.
