Due to continued growth, we are looking for a confident and motivated Sales Representative to join our team.

The successful candidate will manage incoming and outgoing customer calls, present quotations, follow up enquiries and help convert sales opportunities into confirmed orders.

The role

You will not be required to carry out door-to-door sales or cold calling.

You will be provided with quality leads generated by the SBW Marketing Team, which you will be responsible for qualifying, managing and converting into sales.

Our products are competitively priced and manufactured to high European quality standards. You will explain the key features, benefits and available options clearly, helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.

You will communicate with new and existing customers by telephone, email and Zoom meetings. You may also attend customer appointments when required.

You will identify customer requirements, explain our products and services, present quotations clearly, follow up enquiries and support customers throughout the sales process.

Key responsibilities

  • Following up leads provided by the SBW Marketing Team
  • Qualifying prospective customers
  • Generating quotations using SBW pricing software
  • Contacting customers to explain quotations and product options
  • Negotiating and closing sales
  • Preparing and issuing invoices
  • Assisting the surveyor and recording relevant information
  • Preparing confirmed orders for production
  • Answering incoming customer calls and enquiries
  • Making outbound calls to new and existing customers
  • Following up previous enquiries and quotations
  • Understanding customer requirements
  • Presenting products, services and offers clearly
  • Explaining pricing and available options
  • Handling customer questions and objections professionally
  • Converting suitable enquiries into confirmed orders
  • Entering and updating customer orders
  • Maintaining accurate customer records
  • Keeping customers informed throughout the process
  • Building strong customer relationships
  • Supporting the wider office and operations team
  • Completing general sales administration

What we are looking for

  • Previous sales experience
  • Strong telephone communication skills
  • Confidence making and receiving business calls
  • Good negotiation and closing skills
  • Professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Ability to explain offers clearly and persuasively
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK

Experience in construction, windows, doors, glazing, manufacturing or home improvements would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Salary

£30,000–£70,000 per year, including basic salary and commission.

Total earnings will depend on relevant experience, sales results and individual performance. The basic salary and commission structure will be explained during the recruitment process.

The upper end of the advertised range is performance-based and is not guaranteed.
