We are hiring for a Product Manager to help build products that transform financial institutions’ day-to-day work—making complex internal processes faster, smarter, and significantly less painful. You will join a senior, cross-functional team focused on delivering a highly strategic product. This is an environment where we need someone who can step in quickly, take ownership, and drive meaningful impact from day one. You will report to the Head of Product and partner closely with a UX Lead and a Technical Lead, forming a senior leadership trio. Each of you will own decision-making within your domain—yours being product value and viability. This includes defining what gets built, why it matters, and the order in which it is delivered. You will be accountable for outcomes, ensuring that what we ship effectively solves the problem it is intended to address and delivers measurable business impact.

This role requires strong leadership and influence. You will be working within a highly experienced team, where clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to make—and stand by—difficult decisions are essential. You will be expected to guide and inspire the squad, align stakeholders, and maintain focus on delivering value.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the product direction - setting priorities, defining what success looks like, and making the trade-off calls day to day.
  • Working in a tight trio with the UX Lead and Tech Lead, where each of you leads your discipline and the three of you align on what gets shipped.
  • Being the main point of contact for senior stakeholders across the business - clear, structured communication is non-negotiable here.
  • Driving decisions with data, customer insight, and commercial awareness rather than opinion or habit.
  • Using AI as a real working tool - in discovery, in delivery, in how you think about the product itself. As a practice, with a clear view of where it adds value and where it doesn't.
  • Balancing competing demands across engineering constraints, design quality, regulatory requirements, and business goals without letting any one of them dominate.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a product manager working on technology products, ideally in financial services or a similarly regulated space.
  • Experience of leading a cross-functional squad through the full product lifecycle, designing and launching SaaS products with notable success in the market.
  • Strong written and verbal communication - the ability to make complex arguments land with people who don't have time to decode them.
  • Demonstrated technical fluency - you won’t be writing code, but you need to understand architecture, constraints and engineering trade-offs well enough to partner with the Tech Lead.
  • Strong UX awareness - you understand what good design looks like and why it matters.
  • Hands-on AI experience - you're already using AI tools in your product work, and you have a clear-eyed view of where they help and where they fall short.
  • A collaborative instinct paired with the confidence to make the final call. You'll listen to the trio, the stakeholders, the data - and then you'll decide.

Nice to have

  • Experience in mortgage or savings products, bank & building society operations, or B2B platform products serving financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like Consumer Duty, PSD2, and Open Banking.
  • Experience stepping into an active project and getting productive fast.
  • Experience in a modern product software business, or startup.

This is a hybrid role with some travel required for meetings and client workshops.
