  • We are seeking a

Business Development Director to join our team!

As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for setting, managing, and executing the strategy for new business sales across financial services providers in the U.

K. & Ireland.

You have a solid business understanding of the financial services sector and appreciate the needs of our clients to perpetually evolve in an ever-changing world.

In the role, you will be responsible for developing close working relationships with our future clients as well as internal lines of business such as the Consulting, Product, and Delivery teams.

You will work towards complex, multi-year deals that will transform the Digital Strategy, Target Operating Model (TOM), Technology Architecture, and Customer Experiences of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Own the new business development lifecycle from prospect identification to lead generation (initiate) all the way through negotiating and closing new contracts with net new logos.
  • Leverage our proprietary sales methodology to build value adding relationships with our future clients’ senior executives and position products and services that will transform their business.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a pipeline of net new business to regularly exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets in collaboration with the General Managers (Product Owners).
  • Timely and accurately provide monthly sales forecasts for new business and deliver on the forecast commitments made to the business (e. g.: Professional Services, Consulting, etc.).
  • ‘Lucid collaboration’ with internal resources such as our Pre-Sales team to create solutions that match our future clients’ unique requirements to deliver exceptional products and services.
  • Lead Deal / Bid teams to create proposals (incl. RFx) based on future clients’ requirements.
  • Take ownership of the contract negotiations process by working closely with internal and external stakeholders such as legal and finance.
  • Be a proud ambassador of the SBS brand and our products.

Qualifications

  • High integrity, business acumen, drive, and a desire to help clients win.
  • Experience of Account Management within financial services.
  • In-depth experience in navigating the sales process, even during adverse periods.
  • Working understanding of the financial services industry (particularly retail banking).
  • Ability to prospect into and manage executive level relationships throughout the sales cycle by building rapport and delivering compelling, persuasive propositions that yield significant return on investment.
  • Passionate about solving business problems through technology.
  • Clear and accurate written and oral / presentation skills in front of large teams of senior stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a penchant for building cross-functional (deal) teams to deliver results which individually the stakeholders could not achieve.
  • Role Experience Requirements
  • A proven track‑record of success (and overperformance) in sales and account management.
  • Demonstrably capable of managing complex sales processes and converting opportunities to new business within existing clients in the financial services market.
  • Experience of managing contract negotiations with clients.
  • Knowledge of the retail financial services and an understanding of the solutions that address this market.
  • Ideally candidates would have worked and supported clients through digital transformations.
