SBS serves more than 1,500 financial institutions across 80+ countries with enterprise banking software.
Digital Engagement delivers the customer‑facing digital banking experiences that help banks connect with their customers across web, mobile, and other digital channels.
At the same time, SBS is building a secure AI Platform that enables trusted, explainable, and governed AI capabilities for banking use cases.
The platform supports deployments across on‑premise, private cloud, and Saa S environments, and is designed to be consumed by multiple SBS product lines, including Digital Engagement.
We are looking for a
Dev Ops Engineer who can operate across both environments, supporting the reliability, scalability, automation, and security of our Digital Engagement products while helping to build and industrialize the AI Platform.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys improving developer productivity, strengthening cloud and container platforms, and enabling high‑availability, production‑grade services in a regulated industry.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and improve cloud and containerized infrastructure supporting both Digital Engagement products and the SBS AI Platform.
- Define, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery, improve software quality, and support reliable releases across multiple environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure‑as‑code, environment standardization, deployment automation, and platform engineering practices that enable scalable product development.
- Support Kubernetes‑based workloads and high‑availability services, with a focus on resilience, zero‑downtime deployment approaches, and operational excellence.
- Establish and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management practices for business‑critical digital products and AI services.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, platform engineers, AI engineers, and product teams to troubleshoot code and infrastructure issues and improve production readiness.
- Help shape infrastructure strategy, security posture, deployment standards, and operational tooling in line with enterprise and regulated‑industry requirements.
- Investigate and introduce new tools and practices that improve deployment efficiency, developer productivity, observability, and platform security across both domains.
Qualifications
- Required
- Academic or technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a closely related role.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and strong familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working with infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management tools.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tuning for production systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot both application and infrastructure issues in complex distributed environments.
- Strong understanding of software quality, security, automation, and operational reliability principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with remote, cross‑functional, and international teams.
- Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience supporting customer‑facing digital products, ideally in banking, fintech, or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms, model‑serving environments, GPU‑enabled infrastructure, or MLOps practices.
- Familiarity with security, compliance, and governance expectations in enterprise software environments.
- Experience contributing to platform modernization, developer experience initiatives, or multi‑product engineering environments.
