Compliance Manager

Using our suite of digital banking products and services enables these organisations to deliver remarkable financial services to their clients.Job Description As Compliance Manager with SBS, you will be responsible for monitoring upcoming regulations, interpreting and assessing their impacts, and collaborating with the product team to design solutions that support our clients in meeting their regulatory obligations.We are looking for a professional from within lending and banking compliance, or with experience in interpreting financial regulations, who will assist customers and involve them through various methods, including presentations, forums, and workshops. Additionally, you will engage with external stakeholders such as regulatory or trade bodies.What will the role involve?Maintaining a strong and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment impacting financial servicesEnsuring regulatory change is communicated both internally and externally via a range of methods such as workshops and newslettersTranslating regulatory change into easily understandable business requirements and discussing and refining these with customers, third parties and colleaguesAssisting with the design and implementation of our software solutions by answering regulatory-based queriesSupporting with market analysis to identify opportunities to enhance our compliance offeringWorking hand in hand with the Product Managers to build the product roadmaps, ensuring the relevant regulations and timelines are adhered toProviding a point of reference for the business and clients when addressing regulatory changeMaintaining active engagement with the key industry and regulatory bodiesEmbodying the Group valuesQualifications What are we looking for?Circa 5+ years\’ UK banking/loans experience, or experience interpreting regulations and designing compliance solutions, preferably those impacting the mortgage and savings industryStrong customer interaction and presentation skillsThe ability to interpret regulations and translate them into business contextStrong organisational skills and attention to detailAn understanding of the political landscape affecting UK banking and financial regulationsAdditional Information What are we offering?At SBS, we\’re committed to supporting our employees in every aspect of their lives, from health and wellbeing to financial security and lifestyle perks.
