Hours: Full time role, hybrid working 35 hours 9-5 Monday to Friday. Salary: £33,000 Per Annum. Closing Date: Sat, 27 Jun 2026.

We are recruiting for the latest members of our Security Operations Team at a mutual building society, the fourth biggest in the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to security alerts, including monitoring and triage of SIEM alerts and other threat activities.
  • Identity governance.
  • Support resolution of incidents and service requests to agreed service levels.
  • Monitor daily threat intelligence notifications, phishing alerts, brand protection alerts and alerts from EDR tooling.
  • Participate in threat hunting.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting IT systems using Microsoft Technologies and knowledge of network security.
  • Good understanding of security concepts and best practices.
  • Awareness of identity governance.
  • Strong analytical/problem‑solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Participation in on‑call rota (approx. 1 week out of 6).
  • Working toward relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or BT L1.
  • Willingness to learn, strong communication and excellent team‑working skills, investigative skills, high sense of urgency and personal integrity, high ethical standards and values.
