Working Hours & Salary

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Minimum 3 days per week are required at our Head Office in Skipton, ideally including Wednesday. Salary: up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. Closing Date: Mon, 15 Jun 2026.

Role Overview

You will serve as the Marketing Compliance/Financial Promotions Lead within the Marketing Planning & Effectiveness team. The role is a first‑line compliance position with a commercial angle, ensuring the Society is protected and customer communications are compliant. Working closely with colleagues across the Society and beyond, you will help shape the development, launch and promotion of new products and services across Savings, Mortgages and Financial Advice.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Review and approve financial promotions, ensuring compliance with Financial Promotion rules and relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and share knowledge to secure promotions quickly and accurately.
  • Communicate clearly to proactively manage potential issues.
  • Establish clear approval periods for financial promotions reflecting business risk.
  • Liaise with second‑line functions and consult on requirements such as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Equality Act 2010.
  • Raise breaches, keep event logs updated, and ensure remedial action is agreed.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant regulations and deliver regular refresher training to stakeholders.
  • Utilise AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the promotion approval process.
  • Contribute to key projects, change initiatives and continuous improvement of financial promotion processes.

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial promotions, associated compliance requirements, and their application to financial products.
  • Understanding of FCA conduct of business requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate regulatory requirements in relation to Society commercial objectives.
  • Strong communication, presentation and reporting skills.
  • Clear attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial mindset and acumen.
  • Pragmatic decision‑making and the ability to provide quality advice.
