Permanent, full‑time role (35 hours per week) Monday‑Friday 9am‑5pm with hybrid and flexible working. You’ll spend 3 days per week collaborating with colleagues at our Head Office in Skipton. Salary £32,300 per annum, dependent on experience.
Overview
We’re looking for a curious, detail‑driven Financial Crime Consultant to protect our customers, colleagues, and the Society.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review large volumes of customer records to identify genuine financial crime risks.
- Investigate system‑generated alerts relating to suspicious activity.
- Assess risks, take appropriate action, and document findings clearly and accurately.
- Work at pace, adapting quickly when priorities shift.
- Partner with internal teams (Branch Network, Second Line of Defence) and external stakeholders as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Confident decision‑making under pressure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Ability to stay up to date with evolving regulations and financial‑crime trends.
- Understanding of fraud prevention, anti‑money laundering, savings & mortgage products, and supporting vulnerable customers.
