In this role you will engage in conversations to find out our customers’ needs, provide information about our full savings range, products and services, and help them review their circumstances and goals.
Our branches are the heart of our local communities, but we also meet customers who prefer online transactions and contact‑centre interactions.
In the branch you can support customers face‑to‑face, virtually or outbound, ensuring that their needs remain at the centre of everything you do and that you provide a first‑class service every time.
Responsibilities
- Be the First Point of Contact: warmly welcome customers both in‑branch and over the phone, making a lasting positive impression.
- Engage and Understand: ask insightful questions to uncover and understand customers’ needs.
- Listen and Tailor Solutions: listen carefully to each customer’s unique circumstances and offer personalised solutions that meet their needs.
- Proactive Outreach: proactively reach out to customers over the phone to identify their needs and discuss how we can support them.
- Maintain Accurate Records: use our internal systems to ensure customer records are up‑to‑date and accurate, with a focus on identifying and supporting vulnerable customers.
- Adhere to Policies: understand and adhere to our policies, standards and controls, with comprehensive training and coaching.
Qualifications
- Previous experience interacting with customers, either in person or over the phone; experience in a bank or building society is preferred.
- Experience may come from retail, food & beverage, guest services or the health/care sector.
- Passion for delivering exceptional service and going above and beyond.
- Ability to work well alongside others with a \"one‑team\" mindset.
- Ability to react quickly when the day gets busy and manage a wide variety of customers with excellent time management.
- Desire and ability to grow, adapt and change while accommodating business needs and priorities.
