We’re looking for an experienced Platform Manager to lead the evolution, performance and operational excellence of our Core Banking Platform.

This is a strategic leadership role at the heart of our technology estate, helping ensure one of our most critical platforms remains secure, resilient, scalable and aligned to business priorities.

You’ll work closely with engineering teams, architects, business stakeholders and suppliers to shape the platform roadmap, drive continuous improvement and deliver value for our colleagues and customers.

  • Core Banking underpins essential services for our members and colleagues.
  • In this role, you’ll create clarity, direction and momentum for the platform, enabling teams to deliver safely, improve reliability and support meaningful outcomes across the business.
  • Define and communicate the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Core Banking Platform.
  • Ensure platform priorities support organisational objectives and broader technology strategies.
  • Own platform priorities, managing backlogs, dependencies, risks and informed trade-off decisions.
  • Lead and support multidisciplinary engineering teams, removing obstacles and helping teams stay focused on delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence across platform performance, stability, resilience and service health.
  • Oversee risk, security, governance, audit and compliance activities for the platform.
  • Build strong relationships across Engineering, Architecture, Security, Operations, business teams and suppliers.
  • Work in a hybrid way, balancing flexibility with collaboration.

For this role, you'll typically spend three days a week in our Skipton office, with the remaining two days working from home.

  • Proven ability to deliver platform strategy while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Experience managing technology roadmaps, priorities, risks and dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of modern engineering practices, platform management and service operations.
  • Experience managing platform reliability, resilience and operational performance.
  • Knowledge of risk management, compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Confident stakeholder communicator, able to influence decisions and simplify complex topics.
