Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth by developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from enquiry through to delivery. You will act as a strategic liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment with SBR's high standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in line with company strategy.
- Manage and respond to incoming leads and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Quality, Production, Admin) to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor contract compliance and proactively resolve any client issues or concerns.
- Conduct regular client visits and encourage site visits to SBR.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM and SAP ERP systems.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates, bids, and proposals.
General Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts holistically, ensuring cross-departmental alignment.
- Prepare and issue quotes and sales orders.
- Represent SBR at trade shows and exhibitions.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting SBR's values and strategic direction.
- Support colleagues during periods of absence (e.g. holidays, illness).
- Submit expenses in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
- Strong business acumen with a proactive and conscientious approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
