We are looking for a detail‑driven Quality Inspector to support inspections and quality assurance across our aerospace/automotive component manufacturing.
Role Overview
You will carry out first-off, last-off, incoming and outgoing inspections on parts, assemblies, and documentation using mechanical and electronic measuring equipment. You will verify components against drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, complete FAIRs, and release parts with Certificates of Conformity. You will also manage the non‑conformance process, complete root cause analysis and corrective actions, support internal audits to AS9100, and work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform part inspections and documentation checks
- Verify components to drawings and specifications
- Complete First & Last Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Raise and sign Certificates of Conformity
- Report and investigate non‑conformances
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support internal audits to AS9100
- Provide Quality updates at Tier meetings
About You
- HNC/HND in Engineering, Level 3 NVQ, or graduate-level qualification
- AS9100/ISO 9001 Auditor accreditation (desirable)
- 2+ years’ experience in aerospace/automotive quality, or strong educational background with ambition to progress
- Experience with PFMEA and Control Plans
- Competent with Microsoft Office and FAIR documentation
