The primary purpose of this role will be to develop new business for this brand, whilst managing the brand’s existing customer base and ensuring they achieve maximum efficiency across all possible applications.

This is a field-based role for someone who thrives in hands-on engineering environments, enjoys solving real operational problems, and who has a strong track record of developing both existing accounts and new business.

About the Role

This is not a desk-based sales role — it is a site-led, customer-facing position where you will be trusted to manage your own diary, create new opportunities and maintain customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage existing relationships across 30 customer sites, monitoring performance and ensuring uninterrupted supply
  • Conduct site visits, walk-throughs and technical reviews
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across heavy industry
  • Work closely with engineers at customer sites while also engaging procurement stakeholders commercially
  • Generating leads through networking, LinkedIn, cold calls and quote follow ups
About You

We are looking for someone with strong experience in the MRO / industrial engineering / technical distribution sector, with:

  • A background in bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission or MRO
  • Proven success managing multi-site or multi-customer accounts
  • Confidence working directly with engineers and operational teams
  • High level understanding of Bearings, Linear Motion Technology and Lubrication
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and calculate performance requirements using factors such as Rotation Speed & Load
  • Experience specifying mechanical component upgrades within Heavy Industry
What Makes You Successful
  • You understand engineering processes, not just products
  • You can build trust quickly with shop-floor engineers
  • You are commercially ambitious but technically credible
  • You are self-driven and comfortable managing your own workload
  • You enjoy solving problems in fast-paced industrial environments
Location

This role can be carried out primarily on a Work from Home basis, but you will be required to regularly travel to customer sites across the UK, as well as occasional travel to our Swindon HQ for meetings. Must hold a valid driving license.

Package

Competitive salary (aligned to experience), performance bonus, company car or car allowance, long-term development within a growing industrial business.

Why Join Us?

This is a newly created role within a growing industrial services business. You will have real ownership over a project which will deliver a premium product line, delivering benefits to engineering teams across the country. You will be joining a team that values technical expertise, practical problem-solving, and long-term customer relationships. We operate in a fast-moving, engineering-led environment where decisions are made quickly, and customer impact is the priority.
