We're looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Leeds. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making and providing commercial insight across the business. This is a varied, hands-on position that covers the full month-end reporting cycle, budgeting, board reporting and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the month-end accounting process, including journals, accruals, prepayments and labour cost allocations.
  • Producing accurate monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
  • Preparing financial reporting for external stakeholders, including banks and lenders.
  • Monitoring departmental overhead spend against budget and working with budget holders to investigate variances.
  • Supporting the production of monthly Board reports through meaningful financial analysis and commercial insight.
  • Analysing company-wide profit and loss performance, including labour rate variance and other operational reporting.
  • Assisting with the annual budgeting process, including template preparation, departmental consolidation and company-wide budget reporting.
  • Carrying out National Minimum Wage (NMW) compliance analysis, including reviewing timesheets and calculating effective hourly rates.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues across Finance and the wider business.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with excellent analytical ability and a proactive approach. You'll ideally have:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant status (CIMA preferred, although ACCA or ACA will also be considered).
  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
  • Strong month-end reporting and management accounts experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach with the confidence to build relationships across the business.
  • Experience within a multi-site or labour-intensive business would be advantageous, with Facilities Management experience desirable but not essential.
